Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do with CHVEX web hosting services, operated by CH Global Empire. It protects our customers, our upstream provider (MDMHost) and the wider internet. It forms part of our Terms of Service. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by your users, customers and anyone using scripts or software you install.

2. Prohibited content

You must not host, store, link to or distribute:

  • content that is illegal under the laws of Malaysia or the place where it is accessed, including child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism or unlawful violence, and fraud;
  • material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, including pirated software, media or "warez";
  • defamatory, harassing, hateful or threatening material;
  • phishing pages, scam sites or sites impersonating other people or businesses;
  • malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit kits or hacking tools used for attack.

3. Prohibited activities

  • Spam: sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email, running open mail relays, or using hosted services to support spam sent elsewhere.
  • Attacks: launching or taking part in denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, brute-force or credential-stuffing attempts, or trying to access systems without permission.
  • Open proxies and anonymisers: running open proxies, VPN or proxy services, or Tor relays or exit nodes.
  • Cryptocurrency mining: mining or any similar compute-heavy blockchain activity.
  • Excessive resource use: consuming CPU, memory, I/O, processes, disk, inodes or bandwidth in a way that affects other customers or goes beyond your plan limits.
  • Abusive services: running game servers, long-running background processes, IRC bots, file-sharing or torrent services, or public file or backup storage that is not part of your website.
  • Interference: trying to bypass account limits, security controls or monitoring.

4. Resale restrictions

Unless your plan expressly states that reselling is allowed, you may use the hosting for your own websites and those of your own clients that you manage, but you may not resell or sublet the hosting account as a hosting service to others. Each plan's limits and any reseller entitlements are those stated on the plan page when you order.

5. Security responsibilities

You must keep your websites, plugins, scripts and passwords secure and up to date. If an account is compromised and used for abuse, we may act under this policy even if the abuse was not intentional.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and act to protect the platform. Depending on severity and our upstream provider's requirements, we may:

  • send a warning and ask you to fix the problem within a stated time;
  • remove or disable the offending content, scripts or processes;
  • suspend the service, with or without prior notice where there is a risk to other customers or the platform;
  • terminate the service for serious or repeated violations, without refund;
  • report illegal activity to the relevant authorities and cooperate with lawful requests.

We may take immediate action without notice for severe violations such as malware, phishing, active attacks or illegal content. We are not liable for any loss caused by action taken under this policy in good faith.

7. Reporting abuse

To report abuse, open a support ticket in the client area at https://chvex.com, giving the website address, a description of the problem and any evidence such as headers, logs or screenshots. For copyright complaints, include proof of ownership and the exact location of the material. We review reports in good faith but cannot promise a particular outcome or response time.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the services after an update means you accept it.

9. Governing law and contact

This AUP is governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
